Our mission

Everyone should be able to sing Happy Birthday with confidence.

That may not sound like the loftiest ambition in music. But almost everyone knows the song, almost everyone is occasionally expected to sing it, and it is just difficult enough to reveal something surprisingly fundamental: can you hear where the notes are, move your voice from one to the next, and join in without worrying that you would be better off miming?

We are not trying to make everyone an opera singer. We would simply like everyone to feel that singing belongs to them.

Start at the beginning

Playful challenges build longer, steadier notes and more accurate pitch, with extra practice when you need it.

Pitch is how high or low a note is. Intervals are the steps and leaps that turn separate notes into melodies.

Miki Sings takes you from individual notes to intervals and songs, building skills for any music you enjoy.

For any kind of singing

Pop, classical, musical theatre, folk, rock, choral music or singing around a campfire — the underlying skills are the same. If you want to hear the next note and move your voice accurately towards it, Miki's training is useful. Where you take it afterwards is entirely up to you.

Learning should feel like play

Miki is deliberately rich, colourful and sometimes rather silly.

The games are real games, not music lessons with a few points and animations added afterwards. Children explore, solve problems, meet characters, collect things and master challenges. Singing is what allows them to succeed.

Immediate visual feedback helps singers listen, adjust and try again.

Why we made it

We think the fundamentals matter. We think they can be taught carefully without being solemn. And we think confidence in singing should belong to far more people than those who already think of themselves as singers.
